Ride the Rabbit Proof Fence - 26th September to 29th September 2008   $495 per vehicle

A step back into WA history with varying landscapes from Jacaranda through Salmon Gums and onto Gimlet country.  Visit and experience the world famous No.1 & No.2 Rabbit Proof Fences.  We shall be driving through lands once roamed by nomadic Aboriginal tribes thousands of years before white man arrived. Tribe names roll off the tongue such as Bullarragin, Baladjie, Warrachuppin, Yannamooning and Elachbutting.  They hint of mystery, at secrets known only to Kalamaia.

Granite Outcrops to explore, with wonderful picnic stops for lunch and morning tea, make this a relaxing getaway and a step back in time.  A sensational drive to the top of Mt Singleton will take your breath away.  Sanford, Baladje and Elachbutting Rocks to name a few, will see you wanting to come back for more.  On our way to Eaglestone Hill we pass along the No.1 Rabbit Proof Fence as we near Kununoppin and our leisurely jaunt back to Perth.  Weather conditions in the lead up to this trip will determine exactly which tracks we are able to take.

This trip is suitable for camper trailers and "soft-roaders".

Shower & shower tent supplied (bring own water).

Departs 8.30am from The Lakes Road House on Friday 26th September 2008

* Sands of the D'Entrecasteaux - 5th December to 7th December 2008    $375 per vehicle

We have joined the very best from 2 of our most popular tours for this helter skelter ride through some of the most magnificent sand dune country Australia has to offer.

From the Wapet Track we travel via Lake Jasper where you will take on the Yeagarup Dunes and then wind down sand tracks to the mouth of the Warren River.  We explore the D'Entrecasteaux National Park and enjoy a relaxing (but sometimes adventurous) drive along the beach to the mouth of the Warren River.

Sand driving can be a real challenge, but with experts on hand if you need them, all you need to do is enjoy the views and some wonderful beach driving.  You will need to bring a tyre pump and pressure gauge along for this trip as we shall be dropping tyre pressures to tackle the sand dunes.

This trip is not suitable for camper trailers and "soft-roaders".  Call 9291 8303 for more information.

Shower & shower tent supplied (bring own water).

* Pilbara Paradise Expedition - A Remote 15 Day Expedition

We are calling for
"Expressions of Interest"

27th June  -  11th July 2009

$2,495 per vehicle

For all those people that have been away with Campfire Escapes on our "Great Victoria Desert" expeditions, you will know the type of areas we find ourselves in on these long remote excursions. Well I can tell you for sure, that this one's going to be no different. If you haven't been away on this type of trip with us before, all I can say at this point in time is, that we shall be visiting some very remote off track locations. It's our belief that some of them, have never been visited by white man since the world began. We suspect that the Northern most point of this expedition will be Karijini National Park.

Mr Ian Elliot (Mr E to his mates) will be a part of our planning team again this year, so I'm sure you can all look forward to some quality historical (or is that hysterical) interpretations. All vehicles will need to carry water and supplies for 15 days remote travel and some to spare.

All vehicles will require Cross Ply Tyres (Not Radials) and preferably split rim wheels.

This trip is not suitable for camper trailers or "soft-roaders".

Vehicle places are going to be limited to 10 and will be inspected at a vehicle shake-down a few weeks prior to departure.

If you are interested in taking part Click Here to register your "Expression of Interest"
(
This is not a booking)

or give Nick a call on 08 9291 8303

Plan to depart Perth 8.30am Saturday 27th June 2009

Wildflower Wonderland - 21st August to 23rd August 2009   $395 per vehicle

West Australian Wild Flowers are some of the most spectacular anywhere in the world, provided you know where to look.  It’s difficult to miss the huge fields of yellow Canola or the wonderful swathes of colour as you take a drive through on the black top, but by venturing off road you will be entering another world.

Campfire Escapes not only hunt out those extra special places to visit and find that rare Orchid or Wreath Lechenaultia you’ve always been looking for, and those wonderful scenes of Everlasting colour, but offer the excitement of doing it in your own 4WD, off road, in the safety of a group of like minded people.   Picture postcards of Golden Canola, Shimmering Wheat crops and Salt Lake reflections can compliment the incredible splendour of the Wildflower Wonderland  through the Mid-West and surrounding Mallee Wilderness.

Excitement and splendour are all part of this Wildflower Wonderland tour.  We chase the flowers according to the weather patterns, and the specific locations we are visiting are decided upon closer to the date of departure to maximize the beauty of the flowers in this magnificent weekend away.

This trip is suitable for camper trailers and "soft-roaders".

Shower & shower tent supplied (bring own water).

Departs 9.30am from Gingers Road House on Friday 21st August 2009
