Below is a list and some general details on the 4WD Courses that Eureka 4WD Training conduct
in Perth and around WA.

We've been conducting these 4WD courses since 1994 so we reckon we've got the hang of it now.

Recreational 4WD Training

  • INTRODUCTORY ONE DAY SAND & BUSH TERRAIN COURSE

A great way to get started in 4WDriving.  This introductory course is suitable for all types of 4WD vehicles big or small, including "Soft-Roaders".  Held at our purpose built 4WD facility north of Perth we have everything for those who are just starting out.

This course is designed as a family day out, so BYO lunch, and some cold drinks, hat, sun screen and anything else you want (sorry, no alcohol or animals).

Suitable for all 4WD vehicles

Tackle some very "interesting" soft sand tracks, sandhills, gravel ascents and descents plus much more.  Learn the basics of recovery equipment and practice with our equipment.  Vehicle inspections and recommendations on equipment are all a part of this fun day out.

  • BUSH TERRAIN ONE DAY 4WD COURSE
The Eureka "Bush Terrain" 4WD Training Course is generally held 40km East of Midland in an area called Ngangaguringguring (No not a typo).
Course content includes:
  • Forest Tracks
  • Rutted Tracks
  • Uneven Rocky Crossings
  • Water Crossing (Optional)
  • Mud Tracks (Seasonal)
  • Steep Ascents
  • Steep Descents
  • Recovery Equipment (Use & Selection)
  • + Much More
 
This day has some very interesting sections, which will test out your vehicle and gives us some good opportunities to improve driving skills.

  • SAND DRIVING ONE DAY 4WD COURSE
The Eureka "Sand Driving" 4WD Training Course is generally held 55km North of Wanneroo in an area called Wilbinga (just north of Yanchep and Two Rocks).
Course content includes:
  • Sand Tracks
  • Soft Rutted Tracks
  • Uneven Sand Hills
  • Sand Dunes
  • Beach Driving (Seasonal)
  • Tyre Pressures
  • Steep Sand Ascents
  • Steep Sand Descents
  • Self Recovery
  • Recovery Equipment (Use & Selection)
  • + Much More
 

As with the "Bush Terrain" 4WD Course, this day has some very interesting sections, which will test out your vehicle and gives us some good opportunities to improve driving skills. You will need to bring a tyre pump, tyre pressure gauge and a shovel.

  • ADVANCED 2 DAY SAND & BUSH 4WD COURSE

Both days will involve recovery techniques and you will need recovery points fitted to the front and rear of your vehicle.  Sorry but vehicles without Low Range gears and/or insufficient ground clearance will not be able to take part.  The terrain will vary, and be more difficult than on our standard courses which have been detailed above.  Most participants wil be expected to have completed our one day Bush and Sand courses prior to booking onto this more advanced course. However, if you have prior skills and want that extra challenge, then please give us a call on (08) 9497 5655.

Please note for the Advanced Course:  "No recovery points, no start" Please call if you're not sure.
