Workplace Defensive Driving

The Workplace Defensive Driving course is designed to enhance driver safety, awareness, and confidence when operating vehicles in varied workplace environments. Participants will learn to identify risk factors and apply safe driving practices in accordance with Western Australian Road laws. The program addresses key challenges such as wildlife and livestock hazards, heavy vehicle interactions, and safe overtaking techniques. Drivers will gain hands-on experience with both part-time and full-time 4WD systems, along with the correct techniques for navigating gravel roads and performing emergency braking on loose surfaces. The course also covers the correct operation of ABS, traction control, and electronic stability control on unsealed roads, ensuring participants can maintain control in diverse conditions. Additional components include vehicle housekeeping and load restraint, pre-departure checks, and vehicle record maintenance. A major focus is placed on fatigue management, where drivers learn to recognise causes of fatigue, assess workplace procedures to minimise its impact, and adopt effective lifestyle and driving practices for long-term safety and performance on the road.

Fuel Levy Update

Due to ongoing increases in fuel prices and operating costs, a temporary fuel levy will be introduced effective 8 April 2026.

An additional fee of $10 per person will apply to all 4WD courses, and $20 per person will apply to all truck courses.

This decision has not been made lightly. The levy is necessary to help offset rising operational expenses while ensuring we continue to deliver the high-quality training and reliable service you expect.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at admin@eureka4wd.com.au
