Eureka 4WD Training has designed this course to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to Side by Side Utility Vehicles (SSVs) and their unique handling characteristics. As these vehicles can present significant risk if operated incorrectly, the course places a strong emphasis on safe operating techniques, stability management, and risk awareness.

Side by Side vehicles are widely used across a range of industries due to their versatility, including farming, exploration, construction, and mining operations. This course is designed to ensure participants develop the practical skills and knowledge required to safely and responsibly operate these vehicles within their specific work environment.

The training focuses on the practical application of safe handling techniques, including acceleration, braking, steering, and terrain assessment. In addition, participants will learn how to conduct pre-operational inspections, safely load and unload vehicles, and understand transportation and tie-down requirements. The course also addresses relevant legal and workplace obligations, including responsibilities of operators and employers.

The AHCMOM216 – Operate Side by Side Utility Vehicle is a one-day practical course, with a mandatory online eLearning module to be completed prior to attendance. Training can be delivered in either soft sand or rugged bush environments, allowing the course to be tailored to suit a wide range of client applications and operating conditions.
