Ultimate 4WD & Defensive Driving Program

The Ultimate 4WD & Defensive Driving program encompasses a wide range of topics essential for the safe and effective performance of operating a light vehicle on-road and off-road.

In this comprehensive 2-day course, you’ll learn how to operate a 4WD vehicle safely over a variety of terrains. You will learn how to navigate gravel roads, rutted tracks, steep rugged hills and soft sand. You will learn communication strategies for coordinating convoys and safe vehicle recovery methods including the use of snatch straps, recovery boards and self-recovery techniques. You will undertake practical defensive driving in a real world off-road environment whilst learning how to navigate challenging conditions. During this course you will also learn how to undertake safety checks and vehicle inspections.

  • All driver participants are required to hold a valid Australian or international drivers licence

  • Equipment and Tools Handling: Proficiency in the use of various recovery equipment including their maintenance and safety checks.
  • Quality Assurance: Techniques for inspecting and reporting on the condition of light vehicles to ensure the operational condition and safety checks.
