Christmas – New Year period

We saw last year’s double demerit system implemented from before Christmas right through to 11:59 pm on the 5th of January. So this year won’t be any different.

The goal of this extended double demerit period is to ensure all road users make it home safely to their loved ones.

Demerit Points Check

You can check your demerit point status on the Department of Transport website.

You will need your Driver’s Licence Number, Date of Birth and Licence Expiry Date to complete the status check.
