Australian Government Ends Production of Paper Maps

GEOSCIENCE Australia (GA), our Federal Government mapping agency, has decided to end production and sale of the paper maps it produces.

This includes all of the topographic maps of Australia in the 1:250,000, 1:100,000 and 1:50,000 series.

Ford is secretly readying a high-performance Ranger Raptor super ute complete with V8 power.

The brand that sells more 4×4 utes than any other is gearing up to shift the goalposts of load-lugging performance by replacing the four-cylinder diesel engine fitted to the Ford Ranger Raptor with a Ford Mustang-spec 5.0-litre V8.

N BIG NEWS for fans of Toyota’s iconic LandCruiser the next-generation four-wheel drive is reportedly due to be unveiled in August this year, touting a petrol hybrid engine on an all-new platform.

Now in its thirteenth year of service since going on sale in 2007, the current-generation LandCruiser’s time is about to come to an end… as it will for the V8 engine.

According to a report out of Japan by Best Car magazine with sources at Toyota HQ, the next-generation LandCruiser 300 Series is set to make an appearance in August this year.
