As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) authorised by the Department of Transport (DoT) to conduct practical driving assessments, we work in genuine partnership with each trainee. TLIC3004 Drive Heavy Rigid Vehicle – (HR-A) (Automatic) 3 Hours Training – 1xDay Course

A Heavy Rigid (HR-A Automatic) licence opens up a wide range of driving and employment opportunities. Commonly required for mine site vehicles, school, Transperth and coach buses, and delivery vans and rigid trucks within transport and logistics. An HR-A licence increases employability and provides a strong pathway toward HC and MC licence upgrades. Practical Driving Assessment takes 1 hour.

TLIC3004 Drive Heavy Rigid Vehicle – (HR-B) (Synchromesh) 4 Hours Training – 1xday course

A Heavy Rigid (HR-B) licence is suitable for drivers who are required to operate heavy rigid vehicles fitted with synchromesh manual gearboxes as part of their role. This licence is commonly used in transport, logistics, construction, government, and service industries where manual vehicle operation is required but does not involve Road Ranger gearboxes. An HR-B licence provides increased job flexibility and confirms the driver’s ability to safely operate both manual and automatic heavy rigid vehicles. Practical Driving Assessment takes 1 hour.

A Heavy Rigid (HR) Road Ranger licence (Open Class) is recommended for drivers who are required to operate manual heavy vehicles fitted with Road Ranger or constant-mesh gearboxes. This licence is commonly required in transport, mining, construction, and civil industries, where manual vehicle operation is essential. An open class HR licence provides greater flexibility, broader employment opportunities, and confirms the driver is competent to operate both manual and automatic heavy rigid vehicles safely and confidently. Practical Driving Assessment takes 1 hour.

TLIC3005 Drive Heavy Combination Vehicle (HC-A) 8 hours training – 2xday course

Our HC (Heavy Combination) training course is designed to provide drivers with the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence required to safely and competently operate heavy combination vehicles in real-world conditions. The course includes eight (8) hours of practical driver training delivered over two days, allowing participants to progressively build their skills through structured, hands-on instruction. Training focuses on vehicle control, safe driving techniques, correct use of gears, coupling and uncoupling, observation, hazard management, and compliance with relevant road rules and transport regulations.

Training is delivered by experienced, industry-qualified trainers who are also Department of Transport–approved assessors, providing clear instruction, constructive feedback, and a supportive learning environment tailored to each participant’s experience level. This course is suitable for drivers looking to upgrade their licence and operate heavy combination vehicles safely and professionally on Western Australian roads, with an emphasis on confidence, control, and compliance.

The course concludes with a Practical Driving Assessment of approximately three (3) hours, conducted by our Department of Transport–approved assessors.

Our MC (Multi Combination) training course is designed to provide drivers with the advanced skills, knowledge, and confidence required to safely and competently operate multi combination vehicles in real-world conditions. The course includes twelve (12) hours of practical driver training delivered over three days, allowing participants to progressively build their skills through structured, hands-on instruction. Training focuses on advanced vehicle control, correct gear use, coupling and uncoupling, trailer dynamics, observation, hazard management, and compliance with relevant road rules and transport regulations.

Training is delivered by experienced, industry-qualified trainers who are also Department of Transport–approved assessors, providing clear instruction, constructive feedback, and a supportive learning environment tailored to each participant’s experience level. This course is suitable for drivers looking to upgrade their licence and operate multi combination vehicles safely and professionally on Western Australian roads, with an emphasis on confidence, control, and compliance.

The course concludes with a Practical Driving Assessment of approximately three (3) hours, conducted by our Department of Transport–approved assessors.
