Our HC (Heavy Combination) training course is designed to provide drivers with the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence required to safely and competently operate heavy combination vehicles in real-world conditions. The course includes eight (8) hours of practical driver training delivered over two days, allowing participants to progressively build their skills through structured, hands-on instruction. Training focuses on vehicle control, safe driving techniques, correct use of gears, coupling and uncoupling, observation, hazard management, and compliance with relevant road rules and transport regulations.
Training is delivered by experienced, industry-qualified trainers who are also Department of Transport–approved assessors, providing clear instruction, constructive feedback, and a supportive learning environment tailored to each participant’s experience level. This course is suitable for drivers looking to upgrade their licence and operate heavy combination vehicles safely and professionally on Western Australian roads, with an emphasis on confidence, control, and compliance.
The course concludes with a Practical Driving Assessment of approximately three (3) hours, conducted by our Department of Transport–approved assessors.
